With a view to develop the all-round personality of the students, the Institution emphasizes equally on curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. It is the constant endeavour of the Institution to see that the students grow intellectually, physically and morally. To facilitate this, the department undertakes to conduct and organise all the programmes within the preview of Student Centric Activities. The Institution has developed its own sports grounds with facilities to play basketball, cricket, football, volleyball, lawn tennis, hockey, badminton etc. The Institution also organises intra-mural(inter-department) competitions. In addition to this, open competions of indoor games like Chess, Table-Tennis, Carom etc are also oraganised.

All the sports and physical activities are organised under the invaluable guidence of Physical Education Master and In-charge Zonal Physical Educational Officer in Govt. Polytechnic Jammu, Mr. Bharat Kumar Sharma (B.Sc, B.P.Ed, M.Ed).
